Can anyone give me any tips on the fatigue, tiredness etc caused by anastrozole, I have been on it for 6 months now and thought I was doing pretty well. For 3 weeks now I feel so tired,no energy and seem to be getting slower doing things. How long will it last ?Will it get better ? or will it last for as long as I’m on them which I’m told will be 5 yrs +
Hi Daisy May T I am on anastrozole, and I wish I could tell you it gets better, but sorry it hasn't for me. Anastrozole lowers oestrogen in the body, so the effects you are probably experiencing now are like menopause symptoms. I'm on anastrozole for life, so I have no choice but to stick with it. The goods news is it has shrunk my tumours and is keeping me stable.
Thanks Chelle, for your feedback, I’m going to give them a bit longer and see if the symptoms die down a bit or at least come and go, don’t mind if I can get some good days. Glad they are working for you. Good luck x
