Hello,
I have lobular invasive breast cancer, ER/PR+ and HER-. I had my lumpectomy on 26th of August (and re-excision on 15th of September). They sent the tissue for Oncotype after the first surgery - and said it would take 2 weeks for results. It's been 4 weeks now and nothing. They said it must be due to Covid. The thing is, at the start they said it was important to move fast after the surgery - but now without the results nothing is happening...
Is anyone else waiting for their Oncotype results?
Or if you have your results: How long did it take to come through?
I find the waiting awful, I can't plan anything.
Thanks
Hello, I'm not sure how helpful this is, but I can see you don't have any replies yet and sometimes that feels weird. My oncotype result came back in 10 days despite being advised it would take two weeks. My surgery was 5th August. I expect things will move fast when you get your result - it's an important indicator of what to do next and is really helpful in making sure you get the best treatment. The waiting is awful though! Good luck x
Hi, I had my Oncotype done back in June, I was going out of my mind, as told it would take 2 weeks, when in the end it took 5 weeks, then my score was borderline at 25, I decided to have chemo, and once the planning started, it was found I couldn’t have chemotherapy due to high liver function results. Then had to be referred for radiotherapy, which I am finally starting next week, although Im not very happy about the time wasted due to the Onco type test. Good luck I hope you get your results very soon

Hi, I was grade 3 and 24mm on biopsy, downgraded to 14mm grade 2 after having Anastrozol prior to surgery ER8/8 PR8/8 1 lymph node positive. My Onco type testing was done on my biopsy specimens, prior to Anastrozol treatment. Using predict, with a score of 25 having no chemo increased my risk of recurrence by 5%. Good luck xx
If you type in Predict Breast on google, their is a tool, if you put in all the information you know and the treatment you’ll be having or have had, the tool predicts. I like to view results using the icon button, as makes it clearer to see.
this tool makes it easier to understand, survival and how each treatment impacts that.
