Hi all,
I had a mastectomy early July and then waited an age for her 2 result to come back positive so told I would need chemo. CT scan, bone scan done and clear. Saw oncologist 2 weeks ago, told chemo would start 2-3 weeks. Not heard anymore so spoke to chemo scheduling who said they only got my referral yesterday and don’t have a date for me to start as they are very busy.
Feel awful in limbo, how soon should chemo start after surgery, feel completely powerless.
Hi
As far I'm aware chemo starting after surgery is usually 6 weeks to allow time to heal and ensure you are clear of any infection.
