My Daughter
Had her Mastectomy and diep a month ago tomorrow,
Back to day for results and what the next step is, we know it is hormone related, Well they did not take
enough margins, so back in for day surgery, they will go in where they went before, then another two week wait for results, so we are not going to find out for nearly another month.
She just wants to start the hormone tablets, all this hanging about is doing her head in.

Just let your daughter know that not taking the tablets for a little while won't matter. I can appreciate how upsetting and annoying it must be to have to undergo an extra operation, but she shouldn't worry about the tablets.
If she thinks about the tablets as the 'belts and braces' of her treatment - to take the tablets once the cancer has been taken out to prevent it coming back.
I'm probably in my last year of taking the tablets (5 years prescription) and I am a little concerned about the idea of no longer being on them! Sometimes they are prescribed for 10 years. However, perhaps your daughter could think about it this way, the longer they are delayed with her starting them - the longer she'll be on them - protecting her at the end of her treatment.
Best wishes to you both, Lesley
