Hi

I’ve got a date to start my course of radiotherapy of 25th August. Can anyone recommend a moisturiser to use please?
Many thanks

  • Hi Fi

I started my sessions this week and was told any moisturiser without perfume was fine. I’ve read that some departments ask their patients to only use certain creams. I bought organic aloe vera gel from my local H&B and keep it in fridge (recommended by another poster), my radiographer said the gel was fine and to moisturise twice a day, I make sure it’s washed off before the sessions. My boob was pink and warm after the first session, the gel is very cooling and soothing.

    Best wishes x

Thank you! Will pop to H&B

Good lick with your treatment, how many sessions are you having? I’m having five.

  • You’re welcome. I’m also on five sessions. I feel for those who have to do more than five,  it must be so tiring attending every day for weeks. I was under scanner and about to begin yesterday when all the machines went down, had to get dressed again and wait, ended up spending two hours in department, but these things happen, can’t be helped.

  • Anything without perfumes, ph neural, I used a lot of aqueous cream to be honest, cheap as chips too, good luck x

  • Hi Fi, I was told which moisturisers to get and bought "Aveeno", sorry can't remember the other name.  Love Ann
