I am due to go to my radiotherapy assessment tomorrow, just wanted to find out what actually happens. Im due to have my sessions in about 4 weeks time..
I had an initial phone call with oncologist, who explained radiotherapy and how many sessions I need (15 - which seems a lot!) He asked lots of questions too. I have a face to face appointment at different hospital (from surgery) next week where they will do CT scan, tattoo my boob with dots and I need to sign consent forms etc. Hopefully then they will give me dates for sessions. Another waiting game...
Some hospitals are different as it does depend what scans you have had already. As mine is at different hospital, they did ask me a lot of basic questions too. good luck x
