After my hair grew back curly and thick I wasn't too sure. But I've come to love my chemo curls. Now I'm concerned that I will lose them if I have my hair cut. Can anyone shed any light on this? Maybe your experience of this situation. Any recommendations?

  • Hello. I too have lovely chemo curls. My oncologist says it’s different for everyone. I have a fried who has kept hers and another whose grew out.
my hair dresser thinks mine will eventually grow out and I have to say I am wondering if the new root growth is indeed straighter. Only time will tell. Enjoy them while they are there.

    Stay Positive.

  • Thanks for your reply.

I guess there is no definitive answer. And that's why I can't find one  lol.

Enjoying them while I can, as you say.

    • The past is a memory, the future a dream, the moment is now.
  • My hair is taking along time to grow back it's been nearly 2 years it's still straight but I'm hoping it will be curly

  • Hi there, I finished chemo in January 2020 and my hair grew so slowly, it’s only about three inches long now.  At first, it was wavy, but it has gone completely straight again, same as before and the same dark colour, thank goodness, but I rather fancied keeping the waves.

  • That's good it's the same color mine is grey just wish it would grow back quicker x
