Hi, new here and panicking!
I’m 48 and was diagnosed in June with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma.
My mass is 85mm, not a lump just a big area (so I’m told).
Hormone positive ER8 & PR7 HER2 negative.
Had MRI where they saw a (hopefully) cyst on my liver still awaiting the results of CT scan for that.
my oncologist has put me on letrozole and palbo for 3 months to see if it shrinks. I had my ovaries removed 6 years ago due to heavy periods meaning I’m post menopausal, which is why letrozole.
Every time I search on here I’m finding people on these 2 drugs for years and the cancer going into other areas.
or they’ve been given this combo on secondary cancers.
is there anyone in the same boat as me that has been on the same combo for a while?
is there any advice that anyone can give me as I’m so worried about the size of it?
My mum had breast cancer in her 40s, died from lung cancer in her 70s.
All I’m thinking now is that I’ll be left in these and will die
