I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and in the cancer nurse meeting yesterday they said I could choose to go to Lincoln or Sheffield for treatment. Lincoln is much nearer and easier to get to hug someone I know who was treated there wasn't impressed with the care. Does anyone have any up to date experience of either places? Thanks.
I am new to the forum so am not sure how this all works or how I see replies so fingers crossed x
Hi Kizzy57
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. While I have no experience of either treatment centre I noticed that you haven't had any replies yet so I thought I'd bump you up the discussion. Hopefully you'll get an answer to your questions soon.
Wishing you the best of luck with your treatments wherever you decide to have it.
Best wishes

Hi
I didn’t have radiotherapy but had chemotherapy at Weston Park in Sheffield, which is a dedicated cancer hospital. Everyone I know who has had radiotherapy there has had nothing but good things to say about it , my friend will be having radiotherapy there when her chemo is finished. Is there some help for you to stay over if you are coming from Lincoln each day ? There are a number of hotels nearby if you do decide to stay over (that is if you decide to go there!)
