Hello everyone.

I had a mastectomy a few months ago followed by radiotherapy.  I am now taking chemo tablets but have been experiencing some shooting pains off and on in the area where my tumour used to be.  I have read about phantom pains, has anyone experienced a similar issue and should I get checked?  It's just worrying as there is still the horrible feeling the cancer might come back as I had TNBC and my tumour was chemo resistant.

Hi - i had a mastectomy in april and i also occasionally have sharp shooting pains in the area. I didn’t have a tumour i had DCIS so it was everywhere rather than one place

i would mention it to your team but try not to worry too much x

Hello Issylid, thanks so much for the reply.  I am trying not to worry too much and I will speak to my team.  I guess I just don't want to come across as a hypochondriac :) x
