This could be because this is such a busy group that it has slipped off the first page before someone with the right experience has seen it . I had a mastectomy 6 weeks ago today. I would say physically I am doing really well. My scar is healing well and although I do have some swelling, it has reduced a lot. My under arm feels a lot less irritated too. I have been able to drive for the last couple of weeks and have also been able to dress easier too. During the 1st few weeks getting clothes on over my head was difficult. I have only been able to wear a bra in the last week too as it has been to uncomfortable on my scar and where the swelling is. I have been wearing a bra without the softie as that has made it too sore.

I don't have to have radiotherapy but I am waiting for the results of an Oncotype test to find out if chemo would be beneficial to prevent it returning.

The surgery wasn't anywhere near as bad as I expected it to be but I have had a few issues in my personal life which have happened at the same time which have hit me emotionally and made it much harder for me to cope.
