Hi oriena maybe give the BC nurse a call and have a chat with them as when you go to the appointment it's so hard to remember what to ask but I'm sure they will give you a more information sorry I can't be more help but they are always at the end of the phone to help answer your questions regards Belinda xx
Thank you for your message, i think is good idea to call bc nurse. Yeah last appointment i m just happy to know the bc not spread and excited will come with treatment plan but forgot to asking b that, i will have appointment on 17 jun with oncology doctor to discuss about my chemo.
Hmmm I have never spoken to a bc nurse during my chemo so I always ask the oncologist
and the chemo nurses
I personally think is better to have mastectomy because the risk of it coming back is low the doctor said but it depends on how the cancer looks after chemo
My gp also though same like you dear, she was asking me which surgery i will have but i m forgot to asking about that, but from the first time i already said to surgery doctor i dont care what treatment you will give to me i just want healthy again and see my two sons growing up,
or maybe they want to see how my carcer reaction to my chemo first
Hi, I had 3 tumours about the same size as yours, mine were HER2+ and the smaller one was ER+. Initially, they thought I had one and at this point said chemo to shrink the tumours and then lumpectomy. When they found 2 more I still had chemo first but was told I would have a mastectomy. I ended up with a double mastectomy and sentinel biopsy of lymph nodes. Examination of the breast tissue post-mastectomy showed all resolved except for the ER+ tumour but there was nothing showing in the lymph nodes so I am basically now clear. (All the tumours were in one breast but I chose to have the other off because of the large size of my breasts).
Good Luck and I hope your outcome is as good as mine was. x
