Hi everyone
Hope you are doing ok today. I started weekly paclitaxel and 3 weekly trastuzumab yesterday. It’s a been a really big learning curve so far. Is anyone on the same treatment? How did you find it? xx
Hi I'm on the same well it's my last pacilitaxel on Wednesday having had weekly doses for 12 weeks plus herceptin injections every 3 weekly I still have about 14 of those to go but I found it not to bad I was never sick as the domperidome has been fab for me did have a funny taste in my mouth and certain foods taste weird to me also my nails have taken the brunt of it also my hair but apart from that it's gone quite smoothy wishing you good luck and take each cycle as it comes and don't forget to take a few snacks and a kindle or ipad to keep you occupied while you are having treatment let us know how you get on regards Belinda xx
Thanks Beenea69 Good to hear it hasn’t been too bad. My sense of taste changed after the first paclitaxel last Friday too and I’ve had flu-like symptoms, runny nose, aches and pains, sore head but it seems to be settling down. Good luck next Wednesday. It’s great that you are at the end of the chemo part of treatment and feeling ok. It gives me hope
Hi coffeefiend thank you I can't believe how quickly my chemo has gone to be honest I found that drinking loads of water helped with the headaches I still get a runny nose every now and then but for me it was more of a nose bleed during the early stages of the chemo I have some wonderful chemo nurses at my local hospital nothing is to much trouble. I also took my tempreture 3 times a day every day and kept a record of that just incase of any infection you will get through this my lovely I found taking one cycle at a time helped to i know we are all different and it can affect everyone differently just remember the chemo nurses are there for you any concerns just ask take care Belinda xx
