I have been advised to have the above treatment but due to gum disease my dentist has told me to have 5 teeth removed (although ok ) due to fact no teeth can be removed for 3years. Scared that I may get problems with my jaw and lose bone. Read some scary stories about this treatment. Anyone else feel the same?
Hi Vainlady welcome to the forum That sounds like a difficult choice and Im glad its not me as I have a real phobia about dentists (due to scarey school dentists many years ago ).
Im wondering if you might like to post your question in the Ask the Nurse part of the site which I have included a link directly to for you as they may be better able to advise.
Best Wishes and hope that you get some more information to enable you to make an informed choice that's right for you.xx
My chemo nurse (who's done thr job for at least 8 years) told me that he's only seen it when women take 8+ doses, usually due to bone cancer. I'm due it affects others too that way, and doesn't agree with me (I'm like a canary with these meds though!)
