Hi guys
was just wanting know. Ive had my second chemo fec-t and my nausea is still horrendous post 9 days chemo. Terrible headaches and the lovely stomach cramps to go with it.
Does it usually last this long
Hi if you haven't already ring your unit and let them know they may need to change your meds . EC is def nausea inducing but I used to get 5 days of meds by which time it had settled . If it lasted longer or came back I was prescribed an emergency pack to use after the five days . I didn't need them until cycle 5/6
Your unit won't mind you finding they want you to feel as well as possible .
Hope it settles
Hi
Oh no, poor you. I've had one session of FEC and found I suffered a lot more with nausea than on my previous chemo drugs, it did not last as long as 9 days though. I phoned my unit after 5 and they told me to keep taking the extra meds they had given me. I was also prescribed omeprazole early in my chemo treatment for heartburn, I take it daily and this has also helped with the nausea.
Mine had settled soon after day 5 but I am dreading my next session next week.
Like northerner I suggest you give your unit a call, they want to keep you comfortable as much as possible.
x
Thankyou Holythecat.
one day at a time right xxxxxxx
