I am starting Paclitaxel/Carboplatin weekly on 3rd March + forgot to ask my oncologist if the sessions are longer? Does the chemo take longer to administer?
I just wanted to say hi and offer you some support. Also, for selfish reasons I'd like to know the answer to your question as I start the same in just over 6 weeks when I finish EC.
Hi I had chemo 2 years ago now and I had Carboplatin and another different chemo. I had these intravenously and each one took around 30-45 mins with a flush through between each one. But it depends on the size of the dose you are having...so leave yourself plenty of time. Hope this helps, and I wish you well with it all...xx
