Hi Dclem, I agree with the peeing. I’m up every hour or so. I also have it during the day. I do actually wear incontinence pads if I have to go out because it comes on so quick and my bladder just can’t hold it in. Luckily I haven’t had any accidents yet but I want to be prepared just in case. I find it doesn’t seem to matter what I drink it just goes straight through me.

I found the same with my side effects.

With EC I got away quite lightly, tired and nauseous for a few days after chemo but otherwise ok. Hair loss not included!

With the Docetaxel the SEs have made me much more miserable! They also seem to be lasting longer!

Pretty much every orafice has been sore, eating and drinking are very unpleasant because of the sore mouth and pain swallowing and everything tasting different and disgusting! Sleep is very disturbed too. I have had mild pain in my hips, shoulders and back, although I am having the injections in my belly for 7 days after each cycle to boost white blood cells so not sure if it's those that cause the aches. Get occasional pain in my chest.

I haven't had much problem with my bowels which quite a few others seem to.

I'm currently on day12 of 2nd cycle and it's mainly the horrible taste in my mouth that is the issue now. I'm hoping it's going to improve!

It's difficult to know if it's the Docetaxel or herceptin drugs that are causing the side effects. Hope it's the former as I'm on the herceptin for a year!

I'm not posting this to worry people just saying how I've been affected. As many have said we all react differently to the drugs. Hope those starting with the new drugs get minimal SEs x x x x

Thanks for sharing. Good news. My oncologist mentioned an injection- the info I have says 2-3 hours infusions so I was confused. . I’ve just started chemo and will be on this in a couple of months. I’m in Wales.

Hi Eiluj, I have the same with eating. Metallic taste for first 3-4 days then I loose the taste all together and it’s like chewing on cardboard. The only thing I can really taste is garlic sauce and I am covering it on every thing. I have 5 days of injections for my white blood cell count and also on Herceptin (Trastuzumab) for a year. I’m on Docetaxel and cyclophosphamide Chemo.

Thank you for this tip, I’m up two or three times in night reaching for the water so will definitely try these.
