Hi. I was taken off Tamoxifen due to unbearable side effects. I was off for several months and enjoyed my life, physical and mental health returning to normal. Then I was started on Anastrozole. I have been vomiting non stop, not bringing up food just the horrible retching. Feeling nauseated all the time and unable to take my other medication because it starts me retching again. I have a phone consult with my Gp next week and I want to stop taking this medicine. Has anyone else had this reaction?
I should say that I had a very small cancer removed 2years ago. 2 surgeries and no chemo or radiation so I consider myself very fortunate! Am I wrong in thinking that my liklihood of getting cancer again is very low compared to those who have had different outcomes? Or am I just looking for a way to stop the Anastrozole? Thanks for any insight you may have.
