The pandemic has already had an enormous impact upon cancer services. Today, in a statement from the Minister for Health and Social Services, Welsh Government have given the green light to Health Boards to cancel elective cancer surgery to redeploy surgeons and other staff onto wards to deal with the pandemic.

This is something that has happened already in Scotland but after much petitioning they are getting back to re-establishing Cancer services. Its shocking that these specialists are being re-deployed with all the skills that Cancer patients need how does that translate to them dealing with the pandemic when their job is completely different and very specialist. xxx
