Just come home. Not sure how long I’ve had the lump 6 months plus. Had previous mammograms 2018,2019 all ok. In 2019 Dr gave me a leaflet and told me to get to know my breasts. This has put me off going. Results next Thursday and they have already told me it looks like cancer and to bring someone with me. My question is if they didn’t see it in 2019 is that good or does it mean it’s fast growing ? Wish I could remember how long I’ve had lump but time just goes so quickly. Results are on my sons birthday . So scared as lost both parents to cancer when I was 21 and 30 ( I’m 47) parents didn’t even have treatment as so advanced. Just really scared now! When do you tell the kids ( saying kids they are 24,22 and 17)
You've had regular scans and BC very treatable. I lost my mother when I was 24 to bowel cancer and my sister 9 years ago to brain tumour so when age 51 I was diagnosed with BC I was terrified but here I am approaching my 57 birthday.
I didn't tell my daughter till I had diagnosis but she was living away in her second year of uni. She took it well x
