Hey everyone,
I’m driving myself mad here but I feel sure that my lump is feeling smaller. I have a 5cm tumour. I had my herceptin treatment last Thurs and the chemo on the Friday, so we are talking less than a week since I started treatment.
Am I going totally crazy or is this possible? What is a ‘normal’ timeframe for cancer to respond to drugs?
I am naturally rather pessimistic so it would be unlike me to delude myself...and it seems beyond belief that it might be shrinking already. Fingers crossed it is tho!!

Hi ,
judging by daughter’s experience but for a different cancer, yes it IS indeed possible, it may well be that your cancer is very chemo responsive which is great news!
But don’t keep prodding as you’ll make it inflamed!

Thank you for the reply! I’m trying not to be too hopeful as there’s a long road ahead but I can’t deny that I’m feeling slightly positive for the first time in months!
pleased to hear your daughter’s responded well

It took a long time, but her third trial she actually got twinges of pain as the nodes were dying off and shrinking! (You can read what she went through on my profile)
