Hi All,
Hi # Lolly P
I too felt healthy and well and was at the gym before my diagnosis in September. I’m 63 and had surgery and a sentinel node removed in the last month and I have got shoulder pain which I’m putting down to posture due to being less active. I’m feeling fatigue more than usual but am trying to be kind as the emotional impact of cancer can be hard on our bodies. Getting some excel use every day even just a walk seems to help. Rest when you need to and perhaps contact the breast cancer nurse at your clinic to seek reassurance about your symptoms? They are good at reassuring us if we need to be seen back in clinic or given advice over the phone.
Wishing you all peace and calm in the storm...with a helping of laughter and joy to bring healing ️
Hello lolly P
Yes I had those sensations after I was diagnosed and felt perfectly healthy before that. I had pain in my armpit and didnt before, as well as hot sweats. It's all the emotional stress of a diagnosis.i felt tired and ached.

Hi Julie,
Thanks for telling me that. I thought it was just me going mad!
How are you doing now? Where are you up to with your surgery/treatment?x
Hi lolly P
I was diagnosed Nov 2019 with an 18mm her2 positive tumour with a suspicious lymph node. I had neoadjuvant chemotherapy first, which finished at the end of April. I have 2 herceptin injections left so will finish treatment at the end of January. When I was diagnosed I went completely off the rails. I had pain everywhere. Sensations everywhere.
I had surgery in June which consisted of lumpectomy and double reduction and full clearance of auxiliary lymph nodes. Turned out I had cancer in 2 nodes although the chemo had killed it. There was no cancer left in the resected breast specimen either. It's been a long difficult year.

Hi Julie,
You sound like you've had a horrible time but thank goodness you're coming through the other side. Hopefully things can start to pick up for you now. Are you starting to feel more like your old self again now? If that's even possible.
I was diagnosed about 6 weeks ago and am due to have a mastectomy on Thursday. I can't stop crying and it's the only thing on my mind day and night. I have convinced myself the cancer has spread all over as my whole body feels entirely different now with pains in places I didn't even know I had. My poor husband doesn't know what to say or do.
Take care x
