I felt it would be a good idea to have a thread for this which people can use to ask questions, especially about side effects.
Have you tried something like pure Almond oil,it,s really nourishing, just a thought.xx
No I haven't but I am nut allergic so tend to steer clear of toiletries with nuts in too as it makes me a little ick. Thanks though x
Thanks,
I’m only eleven days in and also just started radiotherapy. I did drop something on my foot so it’s not an unexpected bruise, just much bigger than I thought.
I take the tablets at night and mostly they make me very tired so I fall asleep really quickly. I’m also feeling mildly nauseous through the day - not sure if that’s radiotherapy or tablets.
Good to hear of others managing well.
Ruby xx
Almost halfway through my permitted six week “break” from letrozole, still have the insomnia which began 3/4 weeks after I started the pills. I already had the routine of no devices/tv/phone in bedroom, room is dark and cool, wear earplugs, no caffeine after 6pm. Few nights ago I turned the clock to face wall to prevent me knowing that I’ve had only two hours sleep before waking. Look in the mirror and this lack of sleep is really affecting my face, so as a ‘“cheer myself up or I’ll cry” initiative and while I’m on a letrozole break, I took the plunge and booked an appointment to have permanent make-up on my “barely there” brows, allergy testing done (hopefully ok since no problems with radiotherapy tattoos).
So...just had my letrozole delivered and the box is Sun Pharma. I’m interested to know other’s experience of this brand as I’m currently on an approved break from the AI’s. Only began my first box in August which was Manx brand and supplied by hospital, following on from this I was given Accord brand from my local pharmacy. To date that makes three different brands in three months, feel like I’m in a game of Russian roulette
I kept getting different brands with varied side effects but found Accord worked best for me. I asked my local pharmacy if they could keep Accord and so far they have one so. If you have a local pharmacy they are usually accommodating so that they keep their customers.
Keep trying and good luck!
