Hi
I've just joined this site while searching for a bit of reassurance so thank you in advance for being here. I'm 15 days post lumpectomy and lymph nodes removal for stage 1 cancer and I'm still feeling wiped out. I was hoping to have some energy back but I'm shattered. I guess it could be overthinking as my head still hasn't caught up with all this. Did anyone feel / is anyone else feeling the same?
Thank you x
Hi I had a lumpectomy a few years ago but can remember the tiredness you’ve describe a lot of it could be emotional as well as physical your body has been through trauma I just took each day at a time I rested , I slept a lot but gradually I felt a bit better don’t expect miracles straight away give yourself time to heal both in body and mind you’ll get there everyone if different . I wish you well
Hi Daltso
im 11 days post lumpectomy and completely exhausted.
i stayed in and completely rested for the first week, I’ve been out everyday since for small walks but they wipe me out!
Ive also been in so much pain which makes it impossible to completely relax, the nerve pain in my arm out makes laying/ sitting comfortably so hard and as for sleep, I’m getting none!
Really hoping to turn a corner soon!!
