Has anyone received a letter to stay home yet? I'm at work (in a school!) and was wondering how quickly they will contact us. It said 'from mid-week', but last time the text came on the 23rd (Monday after it strated) and thr letter dated 21/3 came in early April. A bit late in a 4-week lockdown!!
Hi Londonmumof2 I received my letter from local council support hub .Confirming on the list and gov letter should arrive in the meantime do I need food drops ,or mental health calls etc . They have advised to reregister on gov site to make sur shopping slots remain available .
Thanks Margaret, I've booked a Sainsbury's order for Monday so I'm guessing I'm on ther list/s still (added finally top thr waitrose one from the government list in June lol). Are you if in thr caravan or staying put?
Hi not allowed to stay at caravan . It's classed as hospitality so closed last time on those grounds but you also not allowed to stay overnight in a second home so gov. Get us either way .
I understand why they don't want us travelling but it's actually easier / safer for us to isolate over there .so have been over there most of the time until I needed to be here for treatment .
Didnt go into towns but walked bridle paths and tarn areas stayed away from people .
We went back on Sunday before shutdown to winterise in case we dont get back til spring . Just as well there was snow on top this week
ive got recurring slot with Asda every three weeks from last time . Which I will keep but have been doing click collect with Morrisons . Hubby will go to Aldi at 7.30 am if we need any thing else . I really hate the Threshold spends required I like fresh food and would rather spend less more often . So will wait and see if Asda drop theirs again .
Once xmas cakes done I've paint ready for wardrobes to keep me occupied lol Although advice this time that we can go for walk is better .
Had most things ready for shutdown as we were heading for tier three .
I received my letter yesterday. Londonmumof2
Received gov letter Tuesday confirming Cevp ...don't call it shielding now so much most prob because don't have to provide food boxes for those who need them .
I was sent a text from my local council a couple of days ago who must hange my details from the list. They've set up a 'Connected Communities' group to help.
Must say that this one not such fun.... to cold, grey and rainy! X
Strangely both the local council letter and the govt letter are both dated 4th November. They arrived 3 days apart. But information was available online.
The wording is extra precautionary shielding measures, which I rather like.
They're asking you to register even if you don't need support. Useful, then they can concentrate on those who need help more.
Also as mentioned in another response we can go out for a walk. So more nice photos on the walking back to happiness thread.
