Juky2019 diagnosed with colon cancer. Tumour in colon and appendix which had spread to periteneum. Treated with 5fu got through it ok. Scan June 2020 delayed due to cobid cancer back. Nodules in oeriteneum fringes and left ureter. Booked for repeat 5fu treatment 1st session horrendous so reduced strength to 60% delivered over 5 not 3 hrs. Pathologist looking into why not reacting positively to treatment redid pathology on colon tumour cells noticed that they were same as breast cancer cells which I had in 2005. Now major investigation into why misdiagnosed. Not primary bowel cancer its now metastesised breast cancer so treatment last year and this was not correct. Had breast cancer 1977 2005 and again in 2009. Feel gobsmacked is an understatement.
Hi
I am so sorry to read your post and see all that you have experienced over the years. It is no wonder you are gobsmacked and no doubt absolutely devastated. I just hope that the new treatment, now that you have finally been diagnosed correctly works 100% for you and you don't react badly to the treatment. You really, really do deserve a much better time of it!!!
Focus your energy on your treatment and getting through whatever you face that way and try not to concentrate on the misdiagnosis - put that in the hands of a solicitor if needs be - and put your strength into you and your battle to overcome the cancer.
Kindest wishes and thinking of you
Lesley x
