Hi all,
Found out on 19th December of my diagnosis. I'm.still finding its not sinking in. I had a total hysterectomy back in Feb so am in medical menopause on top if this but had been kept on my hrt.. which has now ceased due to diagnosis. Every little pain freaks me out.. my brain doesn't shut up mainly at night..
Plan is for lumpectomy and radiotherapy if needed. I'm scared but trying tto.puton a brave face and not sure what my future holds!
Hoping to meet others in similar circumstances to me.

Hi Bluenoser
Welcome to the club that none of us wanted to join! But a great place for support and shared experiences. I’ve been rattling around the site for 7 years now so I must find it helpful! My diagnosis was pretty much the same as yours - you can click on my username to see my profile and the details of my diagnosis and treatment. I think I may be older though - 59 at diagnosis, 66 now.
Anyway glad you’ve found us, this really is a great place to ask questions, share experiences, even just for a good old rant! A safe place to say things you might not feel able to with family and friends. Sending love and a big virtual hug, HFxx
Hi bluenoser, I had the same diagnosis just over 3 years ago now. Any idea yet when your surgery is scheduled? I was thru menopause and they found mine on a scheduled mammogram. Thankfully I attended. Read my profile for details. lots of,reading material on here if you wanted to read up. Good place to ask questions too and get support x
The good news is it’s grade 2 which has good outcome and cure rate. Please think of the positives you are going to be just fine.
Interesting you are hormone positive as you had your ovaries removed your body has not been making estrogen for some time and that’s what makes the cancer grow.
Hello
Just wanted to say to stay positive. This was my diagnosis.i had an op on 10th Dec. I am not doing too bad, now, have my follow up appointment on 8th Jan.
As has been said, already, grade 2 is manageable. I was told I would need tablets to block the estrogen, which is what the cancer thrives on.
I hope you feel you are able to keep in touch with us all, and let us know how you are doing.
Take care, stay positive and try not to let it get you down. Sending hugs
Hi all sorry for the lack of response post surgery, do its been done 15th Jan. So I am now post surgery recovery. It's been ok. I hope back on Thur 29th for my follow up. Surgeon removed 3 lymph nodes and the cancer + margin as standard.
I have been feeling ok.. my only symptoms currently seem to be swelling near the lymph node removal related to surgery.
One thing I need to find answers for is the horrible medical menopause issues I've had since I had to stop my hrt patch. Namely joint aches and pains and headaches. I can't rake anything with hormones obv now because my cancer is hormone receptor ( both estrogen and progesterone) positive.. does anyone have any advice for managing this? I am currently taking paracetamol and ibuprofen.. but feel I can't keep on this as its hard on my kidneys and liver?
Many thanks for all replies above and for the support.
I hope your symptoms feel easier, very soon. Best wishes
