Hi,

I wondered if anyone else is an emotional wreck I am completely distraught. I’m usually as tough as granite but I’m on the floor literally on the floor.

I hit a wall during day five in round one and discover it was the withdrawal from the steroids. Round two I halved them and weened myself off and did the same this time. However, I’m an absolute mess. It’s day seven and I was hoping to turn a corner today.

I have never felt so low.

  • Hi Kerry

It's a hard journey and everybody's is different. Try to do 1 day at a time, it maybe how the chemo itself effects you. I used to be so tired and feel low on day 6 and often sick.

Tell your consultant about it  they may change the dosage of chemo you are given.

Find a cuddle, box of tissues or whatever you need. Be proud of yourself because girl you are taking the fight face on with everything it throws at you. Keep going you will win the battle.

We are all here for you xx

  • Hi Kerry

I'm similar tough as old boots normally, but then hit the floor. My nurse prescribed Citalopram 10mg, it's helped me by taking the edge off without feeling drowsy or out of it.
