Has anyone else on here had a triple negative diagnosis, wondered what my treatment route might be. Hopefully I will get more information soon from hospital.

  • Yes they have said I will be having radiotherapy  but not till I can lift my arm and leave it there for a while

  • Lots of work to do beforehand. I’m so pleased you’ve got through the operation stage now.
Do you think I’m going to have an issue after operation with having a three year old.

  • Hi Lou

Sorry I haven't been in touch a lots been going on healing from my opp was only about two weeks I did my exercises twice a day. I had a heart scan that was fine. Had my results from my surgery and biopsy on my lymph nodes.

All clear no cancer cells in my lymph nodes and all clear in the tissue around were the lump was.

I  had bloods before starting my immunotherapy back up my Corisol levels are undetectable so on steroids I going to a specialist next week. I have been told I will be al life long treatment.

Enough  about me how are you doing?

  • Hey Louise

same here had so much going on I was thinking of you the other day and thought I must message.

My situation had MRI after 3rd session of EC the shrinkage was only 2mm from beginning so my consultant said realistically that’s not a drastic shrinkage for the amount of treatment I’ve had so he preferred to not put my body through the 4th as it wouldn’t do much more for me and just get me straight to surgery once I’ve hit 4 weeks from 3rd session so I’m off to operation next Saturday. Thyroid is settling down gone to under active now and will be with me for life on medication.
my breast consultant is saying she’s removing the tumours and tissue surrounding but may need to complete an uplift on other breast so they don’t look different.

That’s so good news that your results all came back clear. That’s good your feeling well after two weeks. So what does the corisols level do for our body?
Im scared about surgery more so that im gonna be out of action with having my three year old, I’ve got her birthday coming up and she’s so excited for Halloween got parties and need to look around schools.
Could you still get about okay I know we can’t drive and lift heavy items.
Did you have anything done on other breast as in uplift I know it depends on breast sizes and tumour sizes.

  • Hi lou

I was able to get around fine but I didn't have a uplift I just had a lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed but i still think they will give you exercises to stop shoulder lock. Three years olf is a exciting time for her and for you. Sorry I'm missing work Pensive .

Cortisol  acts has your body stress hormone  and regulates you blood pressure, blood sugar and so on I think it released from you adrenal glands and cortisol effects ever part of your body it is only what I have read I will see what the doctor says.

  • Hi Lou

How are you doing ? Have you had your surgery? I have started my immunotherapy again and I have started a phase back to work it was hard at first but its nice to be back with the little ones.

I have also gotten to grips with having steroids everyday and I am just waiting to have radiotherapy.

  • Hi Louise

I’m glad you’re doing well, how have you been feeling in yourself.
Yep had surgery on 18th October results were clear of cancer good news. I start radiotherapy next week for 5 days.
I’ve been struggling with aches and pains in my body especially my feet and legs, sometimes hard to get going feel like I’m 10yrs older Rofl

  • That is fantastic news, Lou Heart️

I start radiotherapy on the 23rd of December, not ideal, but come January, I will only have my immunotherapy to finish.

I have been struggling, I think, because I have put a front on for my boy's for so long and starting back at work I have cried shouted and got angry all at once. But I am getting back to a new normal.

I had joint and muscle pain in my legs but that was due to my adrenal gland not working. Your body has been through alot try and rest. What side you having your radiotherapy?

    Louise xx

  • Hi Louise

You seem to be waiting a bit for your radiotherapy hun how many weeks you having. I’m glad works good but I can imagine it’s been hard getting back into normality.
I know what you mean I feel like I’ve been putting on my strong pants all the way through this but now it’s getting quieter and towards end I’m struggling. But these aches pains like stiffness all over is getting me down I don’t like being restricted.
unfortunately I can’t immunotherapy due to it damaging my thyroid doesn’t look like there’s an alternative so radiotherapy will probably be the last bit of treatment for me.

  • Just thought I’d say hello.  I was searching looking for Doncaster people (that’s where I live) to see if anyone was on here attending the local hospital.  Your post came up and I see you live in Hook.  Just thought I’d say hello.  I was brought up in Water Lane Hook, back in the days when there were a few farms, a few individual houses and we kids ran free,  Happy days they were,  I still have family there.  Merry Christmas xx
