I am about to start chemotherapy and will try the cold cap. I am aware I should buy a hypoallergenic shampoo with no parabens or sulphites. Can anyone recommend brands I can buy? Thank you.
Aveeno is also another good one with no nasties, cheaper than Moogoo.
My daughter was the same, lizjane. Hated the cold cap and had lost 80% of her hair by chemo 3 so gave up and had her hairdresser clip the rest off. She used baby shampoo before losing all her hair, then Jennifer Young Defiant Beauty scalp treatment to cleanse her scalp afterwards. She used this until her hair started to grow again and was very happy with it.
Thank you. I have just found out I am the same. Lasted 22 mins but it put my blood pressure up and I felt very sick, so with my agreement they removed it. Oh well!
I think that feeling is really common. Nearly 18 months after giving up on the cold cap, daughter still feels nauseous when she sees someone else wearing one at chemo!
