My names Lorraine, I'm 56 and although I have no symptoms, I do have a strange red rash that's appearing on the inside of my right boob, thought originally it was marks off my bra but realised now it's not going away, should I get it looked at, my mum had breast cancer 2 years ago under her arm pit but died quickly . I looked at pics of inflammatory cancer, could it be the start of that, I've never heard of that before!
Bit scared to ask but rather catch it early
Thanks
Lorraine
Hi Lorraine, I am not an expert but the advert that is on the TV every day with a man carrying a box around with him says don’t carry the worry of cancer around with you contact your GP and put your mind at rest. You will feel so much better and your doctor would be happy to reassure you and quick to refer you if they think it’s worrying.
Make that appointment you will feel so much better.
Good luck and check back in to let us know how you get on Xxx
Hi Lorraine,
Welcome to the forum.
Any changes that you notice should be checked out. If it's nothing then great but if it is then ghd earlier changes are detected the quicker you can access treatments.
Good luck fingers crossed its nothing to worry about but put your mind at ease and get checked xx
Yeah thanks, muns cancer was late being found as she had Dementia.
I had a mammogram last year & a biopsy taken from left one as large lumps which turned out to be lymp nodes but I'm bit paranoid now
Hi Lorraine,
At least if you get checked you will have peace of mind.
I found the not knowing and waiting for results excruciating. I am glad I got checked. I went with a rash on right boob. Ironically it was fine but there was a grade 3 tumour in my left boob. I've had op chemo radiotherapy last year and now on Letrozole for 5 years.
I wouldn't like to think of what would happen if I hasn't gone.
Good luck xx
Oh god that's scarey, I just called and have 8am GP appointment which is good as can't normally get one for weeks! Lol
Glad your getting it checked, hopefully it's nothing but at least you will know and set your mind at ease.
Sending hugs good luck and keep us updated xx
That’s great Lorraine, all I had was a dry rough nipple not lumps or bumps GP thought it was nothing hospital Dr thought it was nothing but did the mammogram anyway as my sister had had breast cancer.
Two triple positive tumors in left breast. Chemotherapy, targeted therapy, surgery, Letrozole for 5years and bone infusions for two years. No spread to lymph nodes.
So grateful to all the Drs and the rest of the medical team that have been involved with my care.
God poor you, last year was a scare after routine mammogram turned into biopsy & lymp node removal but this rash is smallish but I think its the other side too, I have big books so hard to take pics lol. Gp in the morning so let's hope they just transfer me on as don't really trust my GPs tbh, been fobbed off recently with spotting mid menopause & had womb biopsy 3 weeks ago.....all clear so possibly HRT patches
