New diagnosis

I'm early stage invasive carcinoma. Went into my lymph nodes. My treatment is the opposite of yours (have had surgery & just about to start chemo). But very good friend of mine has similar to you & same staging.

She's just finished her chemo, having a recovery break, then going for surgery. She had one big lump and a couple of smaller ones in her ducts. I had a before & after feel of them, and my goodness, what a difference the chemo has made - the big one can't be felt anymore at all. It's amazing. It gives faith that the treatment works. She had weekly chemo for 20 weeks, and Ok she has felt pretty crap a lot of that time - but in the beginning it seemed to be 3 days crap, then her energy came back. But by the 20 weeks she was hibernating really due to tiredness. But she got there - she got there. I'm so chuffed & proud of her. And you will to.

Use you breast cancer care nurses and your GP to get your questions answered. Write everything down you want to know before your next appointment. It helps to create a partnership with your medical team.

And use this forum when the scares come - they will. But there's lots of support our there.
