I am new here too as I have just had my diagnosis. I can’t answer any of your questions but just wanted to say hi and wish you good luck.

I had to look up what a “seed” is. I haven’t had that. I had 3 small pieces of titanium inserted into the biopsy sites. One near the nipple did hurt.

Is that so they can find it when they operate? Is what this mag seed is for.

I don’t know what they are going to do yet. I go back at the end of the month to find out what my options are. But yes the titanium is there to identify where they took the biopsies from.  Also if the biopsies had been negative they would be used to monitor any future changes.  I am trying to find people in my area who have had surgery recently as I would like to hear from someone who has already gone through it. 

Ah ok, my biopsy came back a week after they took it and plan now in place. Mag seed has to be put in so they know where to go to take it out. Good luck with finding out someone in your area.

Hiya sorry to hear you are on this journey with us all it’s good they are working fast for you. I had the metal put in mine on the 2nd October and I’m still waiting for results from certain tests they seem to be taking ages with me! What area are you under? I’m Shropshire x

Wow I thought waiting 8 days was bad enough!! I am in north Wiltshire. I have been told by other ladies I know how good they are so feeling very fortunate. Am still awaiting one test result but op going ahead anyway. Then will be a 2 week wait for all the margins/lymph nodes etc.

everything seems a bit unreal it’s all happened so fast.
