Hi I’m new to the gang was just reaching out to see if anyone has a similar diagnosis to me as I’m currently waiting for my treatment plan and my mind is going crazy.

Er8 Pr7
her2 negative.
Diagnosed on 2.10.24
any advice would be appreciated xx
Has anyone had there biopsy’s sent off to America for the oncotype score? They have decided today they want my score so have sent it and can take 2 weeks for results. Was wondering if any of you had this done and did it delay surgery? Also they said I can start on tamaxofin tomoz while I wait for the result? Anyone else done this?
i have got an appointment with the consultant in the morning so i will be asking all these questions.
6weeks tomoz I got diagnosed and worrying it’s taking long to start treatment x
Sending hugs to you all and I hope you have all had a positive day xx
Hi ya,I had Grade 3 invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I had my operation ti remove it and then it was sent over to California to determine the onco type score. I scored high and so I had to have chemo.
I didn’t start my hormone therapy until after I finished treatment. Seems like management of your treatment is different?
Hi Marie31, as I was HER2 positive I was told I would definitely need chemo, so there was no need for an oncotype score. I was diagnosed in January and didn't have any treatment until March, even though mine was fast growing and grade 3. I am now cancer free, just waiting for radiotherapy as a precaution. Try not to worry too much, they know what they're doing. Unfortunately my mum was diagnosed today, so we have another battle ahead of us. Xx
I will question it more tomoz. I have seen a lot of people start the tablets at then end was yours er positive and her2 negative or a different type? X
Thank you for this - I have had a read through and it is helpful. I met the oncologist today so now have a treatment plan and feel that I can talk to the children and better answer their questions.
My lump is large (he measured it with a tape measure which I am not sure is the most accurate method!) but hoping the chemo helps to shrink it a bit although he said the main purpose for me is to deal with any cells that are circulating from lymph nodes x
