Newly diagnosed

Hi Harvestmoon,

Everyone appears to have different waits between diagnosis and treatment.

I got my results 21st May and had my op on 6th June this year. But I have heard others waiting a couple more weeks.

If you discuss with your consultant when discussing your plan they may work round about your plans.

Personally the quicker they cut it out of me the better. I was really keen to commence treatment.

Missymolly is right we are all different and not all breast cancers are the same.

i had weekly chemotherapy before having a left mastectomy.  Be sure that you will get the correct treatment for you. 
make notes of all the questions to ask your consultant at your nest appointment.

Thank you for the advice, strangely it seems to be the silly little things I am stressing about rather than the main issue.  Not sure that I have taken it on board yet.

It's a lot to take in and we try to keep things as normal as possible. We all stress about different things depending on our priorities. 

Having plans to look forward to is important and if you can then do them. 

It will give you the comfort and strength to aid your recovery.
