  • Hi Manda c

Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you had breast cancer and that you are struggling to deal with life after treatment.  What you are feeling is perfectly understandable, once you've had cancer every little niggle has you thinking that it's back.  There's a fantastic paper written by a Dr Peter Harvey called "After the treatment finishes - then what? which perfectly sums up the post treatment world.  Here's the link to the article if you'd like to read it: After the Treatment Finishes - Then What?.  I was first diagnosed with breast cancer just over four years ago and I struggled after I'd finished my treatment.  Someone recommended that article on this site so I read it and thought it summed up perfectly what I was feeling.  I found it a great help.

Would you consider counselling?  If you would you could either ring the Macmillan Helpline on 08089 808 0000 which is open from 8 am to 8 pm seven days a week and they could arrange at least six weeks for free counselling for you.  You could also if you have a Maggie's Centre or another cancer centre near you you could either give them a call or call in to talk to someone about how you are feeling. They also offer free counselling.

Wishing you the best of luck with everything.

    Best wishes
