Hi all !
been diagnosed with triple neg breast cancer which has also decided to take a trip to my underarm nymphs! It may also of travelled south to my groin - but a day out in ultrasound with our old friend the biopsy needle will let me know on Thursday .
im starting Chemo and immunotherapy on Friday- and I’m glad to get it started , but bricking it at the same time . I’ve also chosen to have genetic tests- so I have the option of a double mastectomy with ovaries removed if it comes back positive…. Bit like a BOGOF that nobody wants .
everything is so overwhelming atm - I’m trying to carry on as per - but it feels like every thought is about my diagnosis.
Be great to share stories and experiences- and learn from those who have been through this journey xx
Hi there I am new as well with the same diagnosis. Just waiting to star chemo in November and awaiting another biopsy result to see if it has spread x it's horrible and so scary. Sending hugs x
Hi Rolymo,
Welcome to the forum no one wants to be part of.
I also have breast cancer. Mine is her2neg erpostitve prpositive.
I've had op luckily mine didn't tracmvel to lymph glands but was breaking up in boob so classed as grade 3. I have just completed my chemo tough at times but doable to get well. I will now commence my radiotherapy tomorrow for 2 weeks.
The toughest time for everyone is waiting for results. Our minds run riot. It's difficult to think of other things as your mind travels back. However plan small treats, some time with friends and family to distract yourself. Listen to your body. I had to learn to be patient. I didn't realise I was so impatient. I wanted everything done yesterday.
Once you have a treatment plan, your focus changes and you take one step at a time.
Be kind to yourself, you are strong and you will overcome it all. Xxx
Hi Rolymo
Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and that you have lymph node involvement. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer just over four years ago with lymph node involvement and after having chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I made a full recovery. While I won't say chemo is easy it is doable. It can be a bit of a whirlwind when you are first diagnosed but once treatment starts things should start to calm down.
Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment.
Best wishes
