Hi Natty, yes is a bit. I never thought of a bath mat. Once I was able to shower I shoved a towel in the bath and stood on that. Suction hand grips sound a good idea to that way you could have a shallow bath and use them to help you get out. Just be careful about using your op arm as you don’t want to put to much pressure on it to start with .

This is exactly what I did! A bit of a pain but only for just over a week before the dressing is taken off so cope-able! That first shower after it’s taken off is the best though!

Glad to hear you didn’t feel too much pain. I will make sure I have extra pillows to prop myself up, good tip. Yep a good cry makes me feel better

If your bath allows try turning over into all fours to stand up .  Also put a chair by the bath so you could move to sitting.  I highly recommend a shower chair when you can shower again.  As in early days you might feel anxious and unsteady On your feet x

Hi, I taped a bin liner around my arm & breast this worked for me
