Hi, just wondered how long people have waited from diagnosis to surgery. I know it depends on the type of BC and when it was found. If left longer than the normal time would they do another mammogram. I am still getting to know all the various types and what they mean, sorry
Hi Lazy Daisy
im overweight too… by about 5 stone but anaesthetic was fine. I’m a nurse too so let me reassure you that there is less risk in you having the anaesthetic than there is in you driving into town … you will be fine x
I had an initial diagnosis after the biopsy on 6th April. I met my consultant at the end of April and my wide localised excision on 26th May followed by a re-excision on 23rd June. We moved house and area on 21st July and my week of radiotherapy in September.
However I know everyone is different. My sister had to have chemotherapy before her partial mastectomy.
