I would like to know if anyone has been in a similar position as my self and if any idea's how to cope with the flushes in the future and will they ever stop
Thanks
Hi, sorry to hear you're struggling with hot flushes. I must admit it's not something i have experienced but I noticed your post has not had any replies as the site is quite busy. My response will bump the post back up to the first page and hopefully someone with the right experience will pop along soon. Good luck
Hi Honeycome
I was on HRT for many years (I’m 63) until I was diagnosed with DCIS in November. I stopped taking the HRT immediately, my choice. I did have hot flushes, night sweats and low mood but my GP put me on ani depressants for this. I stopped taking the anti depressants after 28 days and the symptoms stopped. Seemed that the anti depressants got me over the initial symptoms of coming off the HRT. Maybe you could try this check with your GP/Oncologist. I hope it helps.
I had surgery on 17th January that went well and am starting radiotherapy on 9th March.
Best wishes and hope everything goes well x
