Hi, I have just joined today. I went for my routine mamagram back in July got a recall in September where the found a lump in my breast. Had a lumpectomy beginning of November and 5 sessions of radiotherapy in December, they were on the fence regarding chemo but because the benefits were less than 5% I declined chemo. I am on letrozole and waiting for a bone density scan. Radiation burns oh so itchy but have managed with Aveeno as antihistamines will interfere with my blood thinners. Work have been great and my team leader calls every week to check in with me. I have a telephone appointment with the oncologist at beginning of March.
Welcome. I was advised to use 1% hydrocortisone for the itch as it does help as well as ordinary moisturiser. takes the edge off x

Hi Brainybunch, I am in Glasgow had surgery at Gartnavel Hospital in 4th November, radiotherapy at beatson. I did not get result from PCR Test until morning of surgery, my pre-op was the week before surgery. My lymph nodes were clear and I didn't get taken down until about 12 noon long morning waiting but was back home after 6pm. When I was recalled they said lump was 0.8mm but consultant said it was more like 2cm.
