Hi.
Had a round block mammoplasty to remove a large lesion. I understand that I have an encysted papillary carcinoma, which appears to be slow growing and ER positive.
The surgery was as a day patient and although a bit painful at first, its settled down well. I had 2 lymph nodes removed and have no drains.
Not wanting to jinx anything and early days but from what I can see, looks so much better than I expected. I actually can see a boob with some cleavage - vanity I know but yayyy all the same.
I have my post surgery review end of next week. There is a chance that I may need more surgery and/or further treatment.
So, trying not to over think thinks but be aware of possible outcomes, so I can be prepared to ask any questions at my next appointment.
The fact that I've been able to go with this option, to remove the lesion and have a mammoplasty, even if things dont quite work out post review, makes any additional treatments /surgeries much more bearable. I was given the chance to try, so I'm very grateful.
Hi Chelseagirl.
Fantastic news. So pleased you had such great results from your surgery.
All the very best.

That's good, Chelseagirl. I hope your treatment goes fine, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. One step at a time. Still waiting for my results.
Hi. Just had a call to say my results not back yet so my appointment has moved from tomorrow to next Wednesday.
I must admit I did think results just 9 days after surgery was pushing it a bit as I'd heard 2 weeks was usual.
So I'm not too disappointed. Although I am fully jabbed , I just need to keep dodging covid over the coming days.
Sorry that you are both still waiting , still have my fingers crossed . Stay safe xx
Hi. Should have had my results today but just had a phone call to say it will be after Christmas now...sigh.
At least I've had my op and apart from a sore nipple all look ok so that's a positive.
But I wont know if more surgery is needed until after Christmas. Just need to focus on Christmas now.
Hope both of you have a lovely Christmas. Katie.ja I hope you get your results soon and they are positive.
xx
Hi, so sorry you have to wait for your results it's so stressful . Please enjoy your Christmas and my fingers are still crossed for you

Hi
Finally got my results today. Clear margins and nothing in sentinel nodes so no more surgery - yayy!
I have an appointment in a couple of weeks with an oncologist to discuss radiotherapy
I have got my first lot of letrozole which the surgeon said I'll need to take for 5 years.
I feel that I have got off very lightly and am very grateful.
Katie.ja have you received your results yet? I hope all goes well for you.
Thanks to all for your positive vibes and good wishes.
xx
So glad you have your results you can relax a bit , have a lovely glass of wine or two
