Hi.
Had a round block mammoplasty to remove a large lesion. I understand that I have an encysted papillary carcinoma, which appears to be slow growing and ER positive.
The surgery was as a day patient and although a bit painful at first, its settled down well. I had 2 lymph nodes removed and have no drains.
Not wanting to jinx anything and early days but from what I can see, looks so much better than I expected. I actually can see a boob with some cleavage - vanity I know but yayyy all the same.
I have my post surgery review end of next week. There is a chance that I may need more surgery and/or further treatment.
So, trying not to over think thinks but be aware of possible outcomes, so I can be prepared to ask any questions at my next appointment.
The fact that I've been able to go with this option, to remove the lesion and have a mammoplasty, even if things dont quite work out post review, makes any additional treatments /surgeries much more bearable. I was given the chance to try, so I'm very grateful.
Hi Daiquiri

Hello Dairquiri,
It's good to hear that your surgery went well and you have such a positive attitude to the outcome of it.
I had mine 10 days ago and waiting to hear from the hospital about post-op consultation and dressing removal etc. I had a lumpectomy to my right one and have also been aware about the possibility of another surgery...but fingers crossed, we both won't need that.
Best of Luck with your results.
