Hello everyone, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on this. I had breast cancer 10 years ago, My problem is atropic vagina, I’ve had it for about  3 years I’ve been using  dilators and oestrogen pessaries, I’ve been using them without much success has anybody else had this and does it get easier? Thank you..

  • I'm only 8 months on from chemo finishing but I have this issue too - chemo and medical menopause have made things a bit rubbish! Interested in people's answers. I can't have the pessaries as hormone positive cancer. I have dilators but my problem is I can't be bothered to use them most of the time - I think with regular use they would really work.

Sorry you are still not having luck after a few years. I was hoping mine would get gradually get better if everything was used more regularly!!

Hi Beatthebreast, thanks for replying, I think that was my mistake, I was not consistent with the dilators and cream, I regret that now, but as you say it is a chore, I think if you can get your partner involved it would help, my husband was helpful but my heart was not in it. I’m giving it my all and hope it will get better going forward. I am going to check the Vaginal cancer group to see if anyone can give some more insight into this.  Let us know how you get on, I’ll do the same, hopefully encourage each other to keep going.
