Hi got my diagnosis 2 weeks ago and going through the turmoil many others here have.

The waiting for 4 weeks for lumpectomy is such hard work mentally they throw the C bomb into your life and say surgery within 4 weeks and pre op done so just the waiting game for a date .....its like being stuck in limbo with no where to go

On another note any reccomend for post op bra for the bigger boobed lady I am a 42 ff

Have looked at some already where the sizes are small medium large or XL is it not better to me more to size than one size fits most.

Sorry that it is on here that we are meeting, as it means that you have BC. Welcome to the club that no one would want to join.

I share this as another of those amply provided for, who also had lumpectomy and sample of nodes removed. My BC surgical nurse advised me to get a sports bra to take to the hospital on the day of surgery.

I got two different ones from M&S and found hat they gave excellent support with no wires, as they had good broad straps. After surgery I wore them day and night for a week or so.

After I healed, I had radiotherapy and different bras were called for. I got 'lounge' bras from Sainsbury's which were front fastening and very soft, also these were just what was called for at the time. Now 2+ months after RT I am back the the usual ones I wore before.

Good luck with your surgery. The waiting to get started is definitely the hardest part.

    All the best

Hi, I'm in a similar position to you. Diagnosed on August 16th, had pre op nearly three weeks ago. Still no date for surgery. Other stuff going on, separating from my husband, building work and selling the house. Feeling very much in limbo too. That's the worst part, the waiting. I have bought some post op bras, from George at Asda. They feel very comfortable. I'm a 34g. Hope this helps and wishng you well going forward. Blush
