Hi there, I was diagnosed with a triple negative breast cancer at the end of May, two months after my 50th birthday.
I have had 4 EC Chemo and am now on weekly Paclitaxel for 12 weeks. Then I am due surgery and Radiotherapy.
I lost my hair within two weeks of starting treatment, I am just about hanging onto eyebrows and lashes but prepared for them to go too.
I guess I just wanted to know I am not alone...I do know this but it feels like I am the only woman to step outside wearing a headscarf...I find people do stare and I am really self conscious about it....wigs are too hot and just not for me.
Also does anyone have any advice regarding false lashes/eyebrows, thinking I might like to use them for going 'out, out' !
Happy to message anyone about my experiences so far and would love to hear from anyone going on this journey too.

Hi Mylesy
Sorry to hear of your diagnosis but hope your treatment is going well. I’m sure you will get lots of help and support on this site.
I hadn’t heard of false eyebrows until you mentioned them but just looked on ebay and they have lots and very cheap so worth a go. Same with false eyelashes. If you go for those that are not over long I’m sure they would look great.
Im awaiting lumpectomy for similar diagnosis (two negatives and a slight oestrogen positive) and not sure until I get the results what my long term treatment will be just yet.
Good luck xx
Hi Mylesy
I lost all my eyebrows too. I found Maybelline Brow Mascara in Dark Blonde was really good. I used it every day. It has fibres in which look like eyebrow hairs if you feather it on in the direction that hairs would grow. Other people thought that they were my actual brows. Best of all I got it on EBay when Shielding, so did not have to go around looking for it.
I also got some jazzy cotton pull on hats like tubes from Ebay. I preferred them to the wig and on my head they stayed put better than scarves.
Good luck with everything connected to hair. I stopped chemo in April and now have full head of thick hair, although it is grey and black not blonde and very slow growing. I think that is due to still getting Herceptin and Pertuzumab. I am just glad to have it back. If someone gets my blonde hair and would prefer mine, can we swap?

Thanks Wallydug ! I will definitely check out the Maybelline brow mascara ! Glad you have your hair back, even if it's not quite what you hoped for....my hairdresser said that initially it does come back different but after a few cuts it will return to your natural colour. Good luck !
