So sorry to hear that you've had to join this club. It must have been a great shock to you and I hope you have some good support around you. This community is also a great source of support, information and wisdom and I hope you find it as useful as I have. Do feel free to rant or ask anything you want, I'm sure there will be people who really understand what you are going through - you are not alone. x

Oh darling woman. The first part of the recovery journey is terrifying for everyone - you don't know what's going to happen and you don't even know the right questions to ask. What is good is that they've got a plan and treatment for breast cancer is better than ever before, so despite everything there is a lot of hope for you. Do you know anyone who has been through this themselves who you can approach?  If not, have a look at this website and see some of the stories people have shared in their blogs and in the threads in this forum. Someone who has been through what you are about to go through will be able to help you start to process your thoughts, feelings and emotions, I'm sure.

The Macmillan helpline is brilliant if you need to talk to someone, or just have a cry. I found myself getting overwhelmed with almost everything when I got my diagnosis.

If you want to know more about me and my own experiences, click on my name and have a look at my blog.

Wishing you all the best and hope to hearore from you soon x

  • Hello ASA, sorry you find yourself here but it is a really good place to be for support, info and the odd laugh, we have all been where you are now so you are not alone.  When you get your treatment plan pop it on here and you should here from woman on the same plan as you.  Love Ann
