Hi everyone, i'm looking forward to receiving and hopefully giving some tips and advice. I had a bilateral masectomy 6 weeks ago and start Herceptin, Perjeta and Paclitaxel next week. After finding a lump in the right breast I was diagnosed with grade 2 invasive ductal cancer, ER, HR & Her2 positive, invasive lobular cancer, & DCIS. All lymph nodes were clear. None of this was shown on a mammogram so I am feeling extremely lucky that this has been caught so soon. Any tips for next week greatly appreciated.
Hi, I have finished chemo and blogged throughout, but this one might help. Good luck

Hi Irishgirl16
Thank you I have read the blog and it is great, really informative. I’m on paclitaxol weekly for 12 weeks so not sure how I’ll feel sounds like as I start to feel better I’ll have another dose. The Herceptin and Perjeta are 3 weekly and I’m told the side effects are not so bad. I work in a school and I’m not going back until January I can work from home if I feel the need.
Hi, are you able to have your Herceptin/Pertuzumab by injection? That's what I have now that the chemo is finished and it is so much quicker and no side effects at all! Hopefully with weekly chemo, you have low side effects too x
Hi jaksprat57
I’m due to start paclitaxel next week too, like you a 12 week course, was told by oncologist it was one of the more tolerated, doable treatments so fingers crossed for us both Keep I touch x
