Hi, complete newbie, within last 6 weeks, have had diagnosis, had lumpectomy, had an op, removed a lymph-node, all cancerous and have been given the all clear. But have to have adjuvant treatment, so waiting to start chemo, followed by radiotherapy.
Took diagnosis so well, was so positive!! So why has the being clear of cancer, weakened me! Made me so angry and so out of control? Am so scared of the chemo - have had to knock our wedding bk to next year (again)
Oh LibbyK
You are waiting to start adjuvant treatment like me . My daughter had to put her wedding back last year because of covid it went ahead this year and I was newly diagnosed with cancer, which was a bummer. But I had a lovely day , I'm scared of chemotherapy to it's all the side effects I suppose althrough chemo will be my friend, as it will act like a nuclear submarine hunting down any cancer cells that think they can set up home anyway in my body .
I'm going to have all the help I can get anti sickness and other stuff like that. Just think next year at your wedding you will be well and hopefully Covid will be under control . Look after yourself

Ps I think this is hitting you now because you have been through so much and can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Downhill all the way now and back to full health X
Hi LIBBYK
Welcome and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. How you are feeling is perfectly natural. While I won’t say chemo is easy it is doable and your medical team will do everything in their power to make sure you stay well while undergoing treatment.
Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment.
Best wishes

Thanks, I love the idea of a nuclear submarine smashing any cancer cells! Please look after yourself and I am so gonna treat chemo as my pal!
Thanks, I really hope so, just seems crazy how I dealt with diagnosis and weak when I should be strong.
You are strong you know that deep down . This is such a difficult time we can be down on times and worried . But we fight on and keep going .
Take care X
Yes Chemo it's your pal it will kill the little buggers and whilst it does that you have a nice coffee and a relax let it do its work . It's helping you it may cause a few upsetting side effects but it's going to do what it does best and help you get better X
