I found a lump next to my mastectomy scar yesterday.
I had my cancer 5 years ago and had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.
No radio or chemo just the blood test that determines if it's in your best interests to have them
Been on anastrozole ever since with its awful side effects.
Doc confirmed there's a 3cm lump today. Urgent hospital appointment requested but up to 2 week wait.
I am absolutely terrified. Can any one give me any advice please.
Its that waiting part that's the most terrifying, isn't it? I wonder if you might want to get in touch with the hospital and see if they can let you know if they have any cancellations so you can bring forward your appointment? I'm thinking of you and hoping all goes well xx
I've slept on it so I'm calmer this morning. I'm going to try for a private appointment this morning as I just can't face the wait for the ultra sound and then another for a biopsy. A friend of mine has waited 7 weeks in total now 2 for the consult 3 for the biopsy and another 2 for the results.
I'm just angry I guess because I thought I was done with this.
Just had major surgery too and doc told me yesterday she thinks it hasn't worked. Rough time but there's a rainbow behind every cloud.
Thanks for your support. Hope you're well as you can be.
Glad you managed to sleep with all that justified distress and anger and you've got a plan. I hope it speeds things up for you and I'm sure we will all continue to be thinking of you. xx
